Create message filters:

Message filters help you organize your e-mail before you read it or even see it.  When configured, message filters will check your e-mail for names, words, senders, etc. and forward them to a specified folder or even automatically delete the message for you.

There are a variety of filters you can create.  In this example, we'll create a rule that moves certain e-mails to the folder we created in the "Folders" tutorial:  "Family".  Follow these steps:

On the Toolbar, click Tools, select Filters from the menu.

The Filters window appears.

Click the New Filter button.

The following screen appears:

Search  =  Select the option From from the menu.
for  =  Enter the e-mail address of a family member.
Perform  =  Select the option move message to from the menu and select In\Family from the menu below.

Note:  If you want, you can check the option and to add more e-mail addresses to the filter.

Click the OK button when finished.

The new filter now appears in the list of available filters.

Click the OK button to close the window.
